This document explains which cookies and similar technologies the alexmedical.pl website uses, for what purpose, and how you can manage them.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a browser stores on your device. They let the site recognise the device on a later visit and remember chosen settings. Alongside cookies, the site uses browser local storage, which works on a similar principle except that the data stays on your device and is never sent to the server.
2. Which cookies we use
The site uses strictly necessary items only. We use no analytics, advertising, profiling or third-party cookies. In particular we do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels or any cross-site tracking tools.
We use the following:
- Cookie notice acknowledgement: a local storage entry so the cookie notice does not reappear on every visit. Kept until you clear site data.
- Healthcare professional confirmation: a local storage entry recording your answer to the entry notice addressed to medical professionals. Valid for 30 days, after which the question is asked again.
- Settings and lists: your chosen theme (light or dark), the list of products for a quote request and recently viewed products. Stored only on your device, at your request.
- Administration panel session: authentication cookies written only after signing in to the panel at /admin. They do not apply to ordinary visitors.
3. Legal basis
Items strictly necessary to deliver the service you requested do not require consent, under Article 399(3) of the Polish Electronic Communications Law. As the site uses nothing beyond strictly necessary items, we do not ask for tracking consent and the cookie notice is purely informational.
Visit statistics are counted by the server from the page request itself, without storing anything on or reading anything from your device. They are described in the Privacy Policy.
4. Managing cookies
Every browser lets you review, delete and block cookies and site data, usually under “Privacy and security”.
Clearing site data will bring back the cookie notice and the entry notice. Blocking strictly necessary items may prevent signing in to the administration panel, but it does not affect browsing the public part of the site.
5. Personal data
The items described above are not used to identify you or to build a profile. How we process personal data you provide voluntarily, for example through the enquiry form, is described in the Privacy policy at www.alexmedical.pl/en/privacy-policy.
6. Changes and governing version
If we ever introduce tools that require consent, we will update this document and ask for consent in the manner required by law before switching them on. This English text is provided for convenience; in case of any discrepancy, the Polish version at www.alexmedical.pl/polityka-cookies prevails.
